im not trying to be a jerk, i owned a 2000 prelude and i hate when people constantly say they arent this and arent that. i worked several cars in handling and straight line, yes the type r is better but i have hung right with type r's before until higher gears and through corners i wasnt far behind. i didnt even have an sh just a vtec. sorry your thread got messed up vuduvduud

Believe me, I'm as big a fan of Preludes as anyone else. I'd take one any day over a Civic, Integra (minus an ITR) or any domestic out there. I just couldn't afford one when I NEEDED a car. However, I know that a Prelude (SH or not) shouldn't be compared to an ITR. They're two different classes of cars. An ITR should be able to out-anything a Prelude. That's what it's built for. However, a VTEC Prelude should kill an Integra (any trim other than Type R) in most areas.

Oh yeah, and sorry vududuonu. :) We should probably let this thread get back on track now.

What's the deal with this thread? I'm glad that it sticks to the original topic of making a 6 gen accord fast. C'mon guys...

I don't think there's a supercharger made for a 4-cyl Accord, only the V6.

Anyway, have you looked around the forum at all? This question has been answered before. That said, how much do you want to spend? Do you want to go turbo or stay n/a? Are you opposed to an engine swap?

Maybe instead of making your accord faster, you should invest in some English lessons? Or at least take a few typing classes.

So why dont you say what model accord you have before asking how to make it fast? That is the sensible idea at least. But I can tell with your typing that sense is something you lack.

take some midol or somthing. so he has a hard time typing and isn't as car savy as you or me; that's why he asked for our help in the first place.

ummm... roro sorry im not a nethug like u....... and to u people who know about cars should i swap to the v6 if its possible........or should i stay with the engine i have the f23a1 4cyl...... or swap to an h22........and the for the money.....which would cost less.....yea imma do mods, but which one would be cheaper.......... oh yea and no boost

A V6 won't fit into that chassis without alot of custom work (mounts, reworking the chassis, etc).

If you don't want to boost your current engine, I'd tell you to get an H22 swap. I know it sounds like alot of work and money, but for all the money you'd spend trying to make that Accord engine faster, you could spend less and get an H22 in there.

Swap in a h22a for sure, best motor for the money, and that chassis is pretty big around that prelude size, wont hurt ur handling at all.
