Hmmm...not to stray off compression discussion...but I got a couple of turbo q's.

1. How does a wastegate work and what's its function?
2. What are A/R rates...say like .42 or .60...intake and exhaust?

I'm confused...thanks in advance. :rolleyes:

I dont think anyone makes a bolt on turbo kit for a D15. If I was you I would pull out a 14b(1st gen) or a 14g(2nd gen) turbo out of the talon/eclipses.

ahh...knowledge....the 2nd gen eclipse's came with a T25and at least a better upgrade rods....D15's shorter stroke...when paired with a properly sized turbo...is a very good street motor..racing?....go B-series...

no no no! The 2nd gens used the 14g!

Stock 2G T25
2G T60 upgrade
2G T28 upgrade (very close to a "Small" 16G)
Stock 1G 14B
"Small" 16G
"Large" 16G
18A (16G with 17C compressor wheel)
20G hybrid
FP Stage 3 "Frankenstein"
FP Stage 5 "Frankenstein"

all above taken from Club DSM.....sorry knowledge...but the 2g DSM's use the T25...not the 14G...the 14G is sized between the 14b and 16G...is why the biggest upgrade to the 2G dsm is turbo swap...and why everyones selling T25's on ebay!
