B21a1 Into 89 Lude
My buddys car took a shit he has a 1989 Prelude 2.0si. ( B20a5 - OBD-0 )
He had a chance to buy a B21a1 With the 5-speed tranny ECU Mounts and all. Here is what i want to know. Is there any thing else i can do besides converting his car to OBD-1 to get this motor in and running? (Update) If i swap his intake manifold, distributor and all the other shit from his old motor will it run with the b20 ecu? Im allready using his b20 wiring harness on the B21. We are not looking for power gains!!! Just a running lude

OBD2? Nah, I don't think so. There are a few small exceptions, but the general rule for OBD is that anything before 92 is OBD0 (this is where the exceptions are; a few cars implement OBD1 early), 92-95 is OBD1, and 96+ is OBD2. Since both engines came from cars before 1992 they should both be OBD0...

And where i said i think the B21 is OBD2... i meant OBD1 I know OBD2 is 96 and later it was a tired mistake hahaha i was friggin bout to fall asleep Thanks again man |
