Default h23 and h22 exhaust

I was just wondering if an h22 exhaust will fit bolt on on a h23 motor

What are you talking about exactly? The manifold? The exhaust pipe? Both?

i also want to know what do you think about a complete catback without trademark on ebay of 2.5 inches with a 4.5" tail pipe with silencer will it sound too loud? It's in stainless steal. i don't want to pay too much if you have other suggestions let me know i have a budget of around 1000.

For the cat-back, just remember that you get what you pay for. If it's stainless steel then it should be pretty durable, but it will probably be pretty loud compared to a more expensive name-brand exhaust system.

As for your other question, is there some reason why you need to use H22 stuff? I'd recommend just buying the parts made to fit your car. That way you know for sure that they'll fit...

the header/exhaust manifold are different.... the H22 and H23 are different bolt patterns

Your budget is big enough to do what you want...

Have a shop that does a really good crush bend that is not all pieced together give you a header back 2.5" exhaust... as long as you aren't upgrading the engine too much that won't offer too much restriction with the crush bend and you will save a bundle ($150). get a nice 4-2-1 header for about $250, a high-flow metal substrate cat ($80) from hottexhaust.com along with a big honkin' 4" * 18" (or so... check your space) resonator (maybe $70...or less) pick up a good muffler (I have heard good things about the magnaflow universal ovals... not another resonator) maybe like $85:
HottExhaust -14" Body, 2-1/2" C/C ProductID=14316

when you add things to your cart at that store they tend to be 10% cheaper than stated! (I had my motorsports shop put on a 16" resonator and a more expensive nopi titanium muffler, but I used to have a flowmaster and I think the magnaflow will not be as loud... plus i did not have a resonator then)

I didn't add that up, but you'll save enough money to have a couple beers this weekend.
