Default Need some advice

I was wondering what the best motor/tranny swap would be for a 91 lude, with about 4-5g to spend. I really know nothing about this, so some ideas and advice would be helpfull, thanks!!

get the integra. the 86-91 preludes suck there the bastard child of the Honda family. you cant mod them much at all with out a lot of headache

any 90+ integra is a good year they makes tons of parts for them and any honda motor can go in them with motor mounts and all b series motors can go right in it without any new mounts at all. i think your friend may have it confused.

well the b swap would go in there real easy a h22 your gona have to buy alot of extra stuff, but b18c vs h22a stock for stock the h22a wins. you just need to figure out what your future power goals of this new motor will be

id H22 swap the lude..... for several reasons

they are very unique styling

handle great in stock formation

car is already OBD1 so no need to convert it unlike the teg which is still OBD0

lude is already a hydro trans, no need to upgrade anything

there are off the shelf H22 motor mounts..... $450 shipped

axles (95 accord ex)

H22-good power, great torque..... very easy to mod

for someone saying that there isnt alot out there for the 88-91 prelude is honestly wrong... there are many options to go with and alot of interchangable parts between other honda cars... the prelude was the caddy of hondas in the time... power windows, power locks, power mirrors, sunroof, stock recaro style seats, some models were available with 4 wheel steering, aluminum rims, plenty of interior room.... the choice is yours...

not true sir.... sorry to burst your bubble....

the prelude in that year span was pretty much the cadillac and test pig for honda... OBD1, Hydro trans, 4 wheel steering.... plenty of other options...

but dont be upset... your not the first nor the last person to think this in the Honda world.... ive read so many forums where ppl wanna put a B16 head on a B20a5 block...

its cool tho AHHVTEC... iam sure ive learned things you have posted in the past as well.... were all here to help each other right?

no,, you cant use a complete change over id get a obd1 h22a. that way you dont have to mess with changing the wiring. all you need is the motor trans and ecu the rest will take custom parts
