Default new problem guys

i got the valve changed and everything and new water pump and timing belt on. i cant seen to put enough tension on the tensioner to lock it in place so the belt stays tight with tension. as soon as i seen the tension get loose i turned the car off but the other news is i think i set my timing wrong because only 2 cylinders were firing # 2 and 3. the good sign is that cylinder 3 was the one that had the non firing issue before and now its fixed so were do i go now guys. im still waiting on this dude thats a so called timing specialist to come over and help me properly set the timing and dizzy also i guess.

sounds like one of your cams are out of alignment- either one is a tooth off. really easy to do on these engines. snap on matco mac and others make a simple tool to hold the cams in place while you install the belt.
after you tensioned the belt did you remember to tighten down the lock nut on the tensioner?
did you spin the engine over by hand 2 revoloutions to make sure the timing marks were still in proper alignment before starting it?
firing order correct?
double check everything, you'll probably find your mistake

thanks for the reply. after we ran it to smooth it out a lil we did a compression test. cylinder 1 and 4 had lower compression around 40-50 i think when the other two were 90 plus. we also got blow back from the pvc hole which someone told me that would be from the gasket or another valve. so we are about to take it off again and replace all the valves this time after the machine shop checks the head and resurfaces it. only 5 dollars a piece for the intake and exhaust valves so thats a good deal.we believe it picked up finally on 3 of the cylinders because it got a lil bit more kick iin it when we had it just running. so imma just redo everything and have it new. oh yea the tensioner bolts were tight i mean no slack at all.
