Does your air conditioning work? If so, then it's probably the power steering. If it doesn't work, then the lines are probably for the A/C system...

well, if you have a jack and some jack stands, you could get under the car and see if any of the lines lead into you steering rack. Or you could check out preludepower(just google it) and look at the 3rd Gen Prelude Section and find a picture of an engine bay. thats if you know what a power steering pump looks like. no sarcasm meant. hope this helps

Hi Kat, a good test is to turn your engine off and try and turn your steering, if the steering is easy to move you don't have power steering, if you ever had your engine cut out while driving ie. run out of fuel for instance, and you had power steering, you can hardly move the steering wheel.
There is a huge difference in feel at the steering wheel while stationary
Nerd talk----If a car has no power steering it is obviously mechanical, rack and pinion or worm and screw (old type) the gearing is lower so you can turn the wheel easier, ( without pump assistance)
But if the car has power steering you have to have the engine running to feed the steering pump, if the engine stops in a emergency !
you have only the steering wheel to pump the oil, which is differcult but possible,(saftety standards )

Anyone please add to this info if not right
