They will allow you to safely rev higher than the stock redline. If you're running stock cams though, then there's really no reason to rev higher any higher than the stock redline since you won't be making any additional power...

Don't buy Skunk2 valve train products. There are too many instances of failure, which means blown engines.
Pick a cam based on your goals, not your valve springs. In fact, your valve springs should be picked based on your cam profile.

Do you have a certain power goal in mind? Is turbo in your future? What are your current mods, and what other parts do you plan on adding?

As far as brandwise, Crower is a good and trusted valvetrain company. They produce parts for alot of Honda engines, I'm not sure about yours, but I just thought I'd throw my two cents in.

Two years at most. That's good enough for me to want to stay away from them. Using a particular brand isn't worth the potential of destroying an engine. I'll just go with something that's been prove to work for years on end and the vast majority of failures come from incorrect installation.

Like Blanco said it depends on what you want to do with it. Say you have just some simple bolt on stuff, I/H/E, fuel rail, FPR, etc, a stage 1 cam set work be a nice addition. You wont have to upgrade springs and retainers and wont break your bank account either.
