Default 91 si first time at track?

Well I desided to take my 91 si with a mini me swap to the track up in sac about 3 weeks ago and I ran a 16.5 with no seats. It was about 95 degrees at the track so I figured it wasn't running as stong as it should. Then last wednesday I took it to Sears Point and my best was a 16.2 with all my interior and it was about 55 degrees. I have all the typical bolt ons H/I/E ,full Msd ingition , 2-1/2" exhaust all the way out (way to big).I guess my question is if thats a good time for what I have ? My reaction time are ruffly around .056 to .102 . What else can I do to get more out of the car? Also my 60ft. suck and are around 2.5.

thats a pretty good time for a NA car, to go faster you could get drag radials, stage 3 clutch for better launches and maybe a short shifter, every little bit helps, or TURBO lol

Hey I race at Sac all the time! Still havent been to Infinon yet
Your 60ft times are about right for your setup. Dont know how a short throw will help with 60ft's

If you want to bolt on a part that will lower your 60tims get Full-Race.com Traction bars (would give you a link, but thier site is messing up my browser), along with drag raidals will dramaticaly improve you launch. No more whell HOP!! I love mine

I have raced at Sac a lot too. I think you can get your 60ft in better shape...

I got 2.3 seconds all day there with a EG si with D16Z6 H/I/E

15.8-15.9 was a good run. I was a little slow for my set up and your mini-me set up....you should be in the 15's for sure

I would've thought low 15's and 2.2 60ft times. Work on the launch.

You can barely load the clutch and hold e-brake up (thumb on button) and dump it all when its time to go.

Reaction don't mean squat for the time of your car....they add the two up to get the grand total.

Get your rpm's at launch dialed in. You wanna have the tires hook up at a particular rpm (varies set-up to set-up).

I think having the tires hook up somewhere in the 4K range is a good start

My 90 si with full interior, d16a6 with I/h/e and shitty tires that were near bald was pulling 15.9s

Back in the day when I was in the game.

My buddy with an 88 civic with LS swap ran 14.7 consistently with 150k on it and blue smoke. He only had intake.

How is a stage 3 going to help his time, If any thing it will slow the car down.

Iam talking about a flywheel, Running a stage 2 clutch on a oem flywheel is best for his setup right now.

Well I just got back from Infineon and my fastest time was a 15.93 @84.31mph my 60' was a 2.410. I changed up my exhaust to 2 1/4 and the car responds way better now. I have to dail it in more. Before with my old exhaust I couldn't break 16.2 . So you guys think I should be in the mid to low 15's?
