I got my 99 civic hatch with a h22 running. Only had it for a couple of weeks but I already want to start fixing it up. I'm looking at buying a header next month. Maybe an an-r, header tech, or bisimoto header. Does anyone have experienc with different headers on h22? I saw a dyno for the dc...
Don't recall having to weld anything....I guess you could just JB weld the shifter on J/K. I'll talk to big boy and see if I can develope the pics this weekend.
You will be happy with an h22. There are alot of parts for the h series now. Skunk makes cams along with JUN for the h series and hytech,an-r,header tech make great headers for the h series.
hasport doesn't make the bracket. I believe you are talking about hcp. The swap is really straight forward. You will have to grind the hump off your stock shifter and make a hole for the hydro hoses to come out of. I also have a 94 jdm h22 with lsd. You won't regret getting it. Honda tech...
The cut can be made below the firewall and ran underneath the stereo and shifter console, or you can do it the easisiest way which is just to make a cut 10 to 12 inches from the front of the shifter box. Its alot easier than what the Sept. issue of Honda tuning stated.
www.importbuilders.com has some really great stuff. Really expensive but great. If your looking for a motor for auto x I would stick to a type r motor. They excel at road racing and there gears and lsd would do you some good. If you do decide to do a vtec conversion I would go with the b20...
You can remove the secondaries from the intake manifold. You can also run with the p13 without the egr. I have a p28 that PYR is going to chip for me. He sets the chip the way you want it unlike the ebay shit. So I'll let veryone know what up in a week.
I used there harnes on my swap and they shipped fast and it actually worked. My friends were saying that it would be a peice for that price but I would buy from the again......good shit at www.jdmshit.com
Never heard of an ls putting down that much power. Just curios since you are spending so much money why not the vtec? Also I would go with a smsp header if you are looking to make that much power. Maybe a hytech if the smsp isn't possible.
if you have that much cash go to www.importbuilders.com They can build you a motor that can put down over 220 at the wheels with all new internals. It will cost you bit though. I agree to about the stock h22 puts down 164 and can usually get up into the 190 range with cams and type s pistons...
You will need the complete motor mount kit. You can go with hcp, place racing, and HAsport. HAsport cost more but most people prefer it to the others. You will need to use a jumper for the ecu.
I think the guy post under newman in the H-T forum. full of good info and tries to help folks out. From what I have heard his harnesses are good and cheap.
