    d15b v-tec ???

VTEC is controlled by the ECU. You could just put 12v to the VTEC Solenoid but that won't do you any good; You must be able to change Fuel and Ignition Maps under the new conditions VTEC creates. heat hand----very strange

You'll never get a check engine light for the Temp Sensor. The cluster gauge uses a seperate sensor than the ECU. Either the sensor is going bad or you have a wiring issue (Corrosion causing partial wire break/loose connection, problem with gauge itself, etc.)

You can put a higher final drive on the old HF transmission if you want. You'll go through the gears faster for sure. But since you'll already have it torn down, you'd might as well fix the rest up as well; bearings etc.

    d15b vtec needs 93 octane??

Use 87-89 octane. In Japan they have higher numbers because of how they calculate their octane rating. In reality, they used the equivilent of our 87 octane there.

If it's a wheel bearing then lift the car and let the wheel in question hang free. Attempt to pivot the wheel in and out from top to bottom and then side to side. (push and pull the wheel) If there is a little play then it's wheel bearings. Cost is $50+ each. I had 1/3" in movement on both my...

    CRX Door/Seatbelt Mount Locations

Don't forget the odd-ball 1989 CRX HF had B-Pillar mounted seat belts and the seats themselves have the same bolt configuration as the -88 CRX's.
