    I've herd that a lot of people get an adjustable cam gear when doing a mini me swap. I was just wondering if it is something that is needed. Not sure if it matters but I am putting a z6 head on my a6 block and converting to obd1

    mini me help

    Are you still running dual point fuel injection? If so you should swap to multi point. Also did you make sure the timing was set right when you put the belt on? Make sure you check all your sensors to see if any of them are messed up. I hope this helps

    I have some falken ziex tires on my crx and no complaints. They were cheap and grip pretty good wet or dry. I've had them on for about 8 or 9 months and they still have plenty or tread.

    Again it is spelled vtec, there is no h at the end. If the engin you have is obd1 then it has to be the d16z6 not the d16y8. Both are sohc vtec.     First of all vtec not vtech, second of all the d16y8 is obd2. Your tranny will bolt up no problem. You can either stick with your stock ecu and run a vtec controler or convert to obd1 and use a p28 ecu.     Fix the codes and everything should work. When you are throwing codes vtec goes in to limp mode and will not engage till you fix the problems.
