Hmm did you put the motor in to the car youself or did you buy it this way? Because it sounds to me like you have a Gsr tranny. My old car was a 93 hatch with an Ls motor and I had a Gsr tranny and that was about the RPMs I would be at around 65 (maybe a little higher).
