very true. fortunately I only have to drive 0 miles to sioux falls.
it might be a bit far for ya.. but if you make it up here (or anyone for that matter) IM me or something... i'm bored LOL
I have wiring diagram for 92-95 civics that includes wire colors (including wire color changes at harnesses) for the ecu and engine harnesses... scanned hi-res.. prints out full size on 9 sheets of paper.. great to tape together and hang on the garage wall :)
I will try to dig out the original...
you can do AWD at excessive... they just install a viscous eliminator. they'll pretty much do anything.
however if they're interested there's a new shop opening on Minnesota Ave. that claims to have an AWD Dyno.. but I'm not sure if they have it yet.. and I don't know anyone who has had anything...
excellent! I hope to have my b16 in and running by then :) the z6 blew up 6 months ago.. time to move up the ladder.
if you're going to be up here, might want to check siouxfallsracing.com to see if anyone is going to do a get-together when you come... :)
Im not sure. if you pay for an entire dyno day and there arent that many people they might be willing to tune the car that day...
another thing to check is if you pay up front for a full day of dyno tuning they might be willing to do it on a saturday if thats the only day that works for you...
probably slightly farther away but Sioux Falls has Excessive Autosports (excellent place to go).. and theres a new place that just opened but i dont remember what it's called.
Ok.. here's what I need help with. Have a z6.. and a turbo kit (edelbrock) with a GT28R.. I have another block that I'm going to have decked and cleaned to build for this project. But I have no idea what range of boost I'm dealing with for that turbo. Obviously pointless to build for say, 13psi...
okay... talked to edelbrock (again) about this today after 25 minutes on hold.
they transfered me to the "import guy" and I had to leave a mesg. not expecting a call back, at least not any time soon... took him all of like 4 minutes to get back to me.
Anyway, back to the point... for anyone's...
I was lucky enough to pick up mostly complete (missing the charge piping, no big deal) and unused edelbrock turbo kit for my 94 civic for $700 (less than the cost of the turbo alone... someone got robbed). Anyway my point is that the TurboLink piggyback computer that comes with it was supposed...
okie dokie... so assuming I don't have a b16/b18......... it's a d16z6 motor (only 20k miles on the rebuild) w/p28 ecu... would the same apply for just making a turbo chip?
and how does a system like that get tuned at the shop? I would assume they would need a chip burner..is it just a...
yeah I've been considering just getting rid of it.. I've been reading about how they have lots of issues.. like detonation (which is half the point of the box anyway, to avoid that). I already have a chipped ecu.. I will maybe just get a turbo program for it.
as for piping.. I'm taking it to...
I have a 94 hatch with the d16z6 put in it.. just got an edelbrock turbo kit that has the intake manifold with it.. but the manifold is for the 96-00 civic so I'm having to switch to a 96-00 fuel rail.. will the injectors from the z6 sock mani fit in the 96-00 fuel rail?
I assume the injectors...
I picked up this performer X kit that's never been installed for $700 .. what a steal!! only things I don't have are oil lines and the intercooler/piping
also, there is no documentation.. the hardware install is pretty easy for me.. but not real sure where all the wires hook up from the little...
almost forgot.. I went and looked at the car today... looks ok. my friend is going to take some little dents out for me... the bumpers have been repainted (they have that Maco "pink/red" look to them) but I figure it'll probably get a paint job next year anyway (or it'll be a sleeper)...
I can get an EX m/t for 300 or so from the local scrap yard.. maybe cheaper if I go to Omaha (not too terribly far south)... if I have the money I will. Also, can I use the dx/cx ecu just to get the car to run around town until I can get a si/ex ecu? it won't hurt anything will it?
I have (had) a 95 EX that was totalled (pricey frame damage front and rear)... so I'm looking at buying a 94 Civic Cx (might be a DX..not sure.. it's debadged but I'll check the title) to swap my EX motor into... just curious if there are any hidden things I'll have to deal with in this swap if...
