    86' honda crx

Well if it really is an '86 you ought to post this over in the EW 3rd Gen Civic forum. EF's are '88-'91.

Power steering rack in a CRX?

You're basically on borrowed time until that rack seizes. There's a work around on some cars, like Miatas, where you can take the rack apart and remove the parts that the power steering pump activates, then fill it full of grease and put it back together. But I haven't done it on a Civic/CRX rack.

Power steering rack in a CRX?

Are you sure you've got that rack in there correctly? Here's a pic comparing the PS bushing and bracket with the manual versions. http://jmr302.com/honda/Civic%20rack%20comparison%201.jpg As you can see the PS rack is much bigger. The bolt pattern isn't the same on the bracket either. Maybe...

Power steering rack in a CRX?

I think you'll find it doesn't fit your crossmember. The PS rack is bigger around and the crossmembers and brackets are different enough that you can't use one for the other. I just converted from PS to manual on my '91 HB and got to learn this first hand.

    Need opinions AC swap bracket.

I've got the Hasport. It's worked well. I think I have the Matsushita compressor but this bracket supposedly fits all of them with a baggie of extra spacers. I had a bad experience trying to buy engine mounts from Innovative earlier this year. If they don't have the part in stock already...

    Opinions on B-series Swap Mounts

Yeah, it took way longer than I thought it should have. But I did it with engine and trans and everything still installed. I also converted to manual steering so I changed the suspension crossmember too.

    Opinions on B-series Swap Mounts

The Hasports look pretty good. Installed them today. It took a while. I left the engine in the car (this was an existing swap) so nothing played well together. It took 7 hours. One criticism of the Hasports; the bolts. It's hardware store stuff. This was fine for the rear mount because it came...

    Opinions on B-series Swap Mounts

Well, they're not. I ordered black anodized billet mounts from Innovative with 75A bushings but never got them. After placing the order I didn't see a shipping notice for 2 weeks. I gave them a ring and they apologized and said they were having supplier issues and would ship in 2-3 days. This...

    Opinions on B-series Swap Mounts

I wouldn't really say they're cheap. The billet set is $300 vs $350 for Hasport's stuff on Ebay. I wouldn't be surprised if they're just copies of Hasport's designs though.

    Opinions on B-series Swap Mounts

I started studying pics of the different mounts and made a decision. I bought the Innovative mounts at innovativemounts.com. I saw some things I didn't like in the cheap no-name mounts, including Avid's, like a lack of inside radiuses (radii?) and poor or no gusseting. That's how things crack...

    Opinions on B-series Swap Mounts

I've hit the search function but haven't seen this anywhere so here goes... What are your opinions on mounts? Do you generally get what you pay for or are they all more or less the same? Are the cheap-o non-name mounts on Ebay any good?

    EF Suspension Crossmembers

It's got enough room that I can get a pry bar between the trans and the crossmember. Thanks for the suggestion though.

    EF Suspension Crossmembers

I'll be damned. I did a Google Image search and found that the Place Racing rear mount looks different than the one I have. Hmmmm. How in the hell did this ever work in this car?

    EF Suspension Crossmembers

Yeah, my '91 hatch had already been converted when I bought it. I unbolted the mount that was on the old power steering crossmember and bolted it onto the manual steering crossmember. It's definitely not a stock mount; the rubber is very hard and says 'Place Racing' on it. Oddly enough I have a...

    EF Suspension Crossmembers

I've got a '91 hatch with a B16A swap that I'm converting to manual steering. This required swapping the suspension crossmember because the racks are so different. Unfortunately it appears that the junkyard crossmember I picked up (from an '88) puts the mount slightly forward of where it was...

WTB: EF9 SiR Gage Cluster Connectors

Maybe in Europe and Japan that's true but not in the US, unfortunately. I'll post a pic later today of the SiR cluster compared to a US unit.

WTB: EF9 SiR Gage Cluster Connectors

At first I wondered how you were going to find SiR stuff in the junkyard and then I noticed your location. Yes, please let me know if you find something. Vielen Dank.
