Behold! Teh Shifter! :worthy:
The photo really brought out the green in it. I spose I could paint it, though you can't really tell in person. Anyways it beats holding the shifter itself. B)
Personaly I could care less about teh almight short shiter... My income can't justify a skunk2 shifter... I'm only 17 <_< Anyways, thankyou for the reply :)
The last two times I've filled up my car, I've noticed that air rushes into the gas tank when removing the cap, as if a vacume was created from within the tank... WTH is up with that? That can't possibly be normal... Wouldn't this put more stress on the fuel pump?
I recently bought an EF and it had some cheap ass shorty shifter installed. Anyways Long story short, I snapped the sexy JDM shift knob off, with the remains of the short shifter still in the threads... and it ain't coming out. So I contemplated about buing a new shifter and knob...BUT then I...
For the Hatch I'm partial to the '90 model :D As for the Teg, '92 offers the same b-series block, but with more power at increased rpm. There are also exterior and interior differences of both models that I'm somewaht biased on, which is why I chose the years that I did. Yup I'm picky ;)
I'm looking for clean models of either of the cars stated below. They must be clean and in running condition. I'm looking to spend no more than 2k at the present time. I live in Kentucky, area code 40241. I'm not to sure about how far I'm williing to drive...c'mon there has to be some imoprts in...
I've just recently found a '89 Civic SI Hatchback with a ZC swapped into it. The thing is, I'm confused...
Is a SOHC ZC the same as a D16A6, just with a differant head?
Or is it an entirely differant block?
If it is a differant block, can I swap the SOHC head with a DOHC head?
I read the write...
So far this is the list of things my friend will need for the Mini Me swap. Hopefully I haven't missed anything.
OBD0 - OBD1 Wiring Harness
p28 ECU
Fuel Injectors
Distributor
Headgasket
And of course, the Y8 Hhead.
About the ECU, would this be aquired from Hondata, or is it a stock ECU from...
Thanx guys, that answered the most important question, on where to get a Y8 Head. After Swaping the head, I'm assuming he'll get some aftermarket Cams and then a Turbo. So with all of this in mind, what is needed to convert from OBD0 to OBD1? And do you have any other suggestions?
My friend owns a 1990 Honda CRX Si, and wants to do a Mini Me Head Swap. He's looking to swap out the A6 head with a Y8, as it offers higher compression than a Z6. My question is, where can he find a complete head other than a junkyard? I've been searching google to no success. And ebay doesn't...
I meant the hmotors kit. ;) Sorry I didn't point that out. But would it be a good idea to drop in say an ACT clutch and XACT flywheel, at the time of swap? Everywhere you look they say engines avg. 35000 - 40000 miles. But we all know thats BS. There's no sure way of proving it.
Basically what...
Dropping a B16A1 into a CRX Si wouldn't require a "Dummies Guide To Engine Swapping" would it? The B16A1 has the same OBD as the D16A6, so it wouldn't require any rewiring. It'd just be a matter of taking everything apart and remembering how it came apart, so you can drop in the new engine...
Gotta get a car first. B) I'm assesing the possabilites of a CRX vs. a del sol.
With a '90 CRX I can just drop in a B16A1 and go from there.
With a '97 del sol I could drop in a B18C5 and go Hybrid AND Type R, BUT that costs more $$$.
My goal is to build a daily driver, on a small budget...
OK, now I know the B18C5 would require massive rewiring cause its a differant OBD. Would this also apply to the B16B? And would the B16B drop right in to a CRX like a B16A1?
