no all the plugs are firing and the car runs just wont idle very well and has a major hesitation. car almost dies when you pat the gas. I was thinking maybe the fuel filter is getting stopped up b/c the car was sitting for who knows how long and the gas was prolly pretty old.

the old coil was totally dead and had no spark when i changed the coil the car fired right up and ran fine for awhile but then started messing up again.

i just mentioned the wires because i wasn't sure but the car ran fine for about a week so i don't think that was the problem. I have a haynes repair manual but its not much in the wiring department. The only 2 white wires i see on the diagram that the book gives me says that the two white wires...

i'm not sure if it means anything but when i connected the si distributor to the dx harness there were 2 white wires would it be doing something like this if i had the crossed or would it not be running at all?? the distributor is hotter than i think it should be but i dont think its any...

ok thanx again to all your help another honda is back on the road. I changed the coil off of my dx motor and it fired right up. went ahead and gave it new plugs,wires,cap and rotor also. well thanx again. Maybe one day after getting all this help from you i might be able to help someone myself...

I just completed this swap with the help of the honda gods on here and it is so much easier to use the dx harness and just follow the instructions on the dx to zc swap. All the wires are the same.

I have put probably 100 miles on the car now and the white smoke did clear up. Once again thanx!!!

ok i didnt have the eacv sensor hooked up. i hooked it up and the car idles fine but i'm still getting white smoke. i think it would be oil but i drove the car with this motor 3 days before we pulled it and it ran great and didnt smoke just got crashed.

ok i fixed the wiring problem the sensor not hooked up was the eacv. and it is now hooked up and the car idles fine but still smokes white smoke.

i wired for the extra two injectors like it said to do in the dx to zc swap and did everything the swap told me to do...

I put an 89 si motor from a crx into an 88 dx hatch. the si motor ran great before i pulled it. now i have it in the dx and its smoking white smoke(alot) and car wont idle... any ideas??? also when i changed the plugs 2 of them had alot of oil on them... like i said b4 the motor did not smoke...

ok i put the dx harness back on the motor and have it running but it wont idle and i have a sensor left thats not hooked up and no wires that match the color blue and yello/black. i do have a plug left over that is a 2 wire plug but the end is different and the wires are red and yellow/black...

my problem is that all the swaps i have found show or tell you how to change the manifold for the dpfi to mpfi swap but none tell how to swap the whole motor and i have a couple left over harnesses i cant figure out. sorry if my questions sound a little dumb but this is my first time doing...

i tried to leave the si harness on the motor. would it be easier if i took it off and went with the dx harness b/c i have already installed the injector resistor box and wired for the 2 extra injectors. P.S. thanx for all the help and i hope you all have a good christmas...
