    ek coupe rear disc conversion

well... i had my alignment done today - the back was a bit off - but not too bad... tires aren't rubbing anymore but i still don't like how it sits.... the tires were rubbing on the quarter panel lip that bends towards the inside of the wheel well... so to answer that question it would be...

    ek coupe rear disc conversion

i know i need to have an alignment done but it doesn't appear as though an alignment is going to fix the problem - the toe, caster, and camber look to be pretty close - the whole tire is out about a 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch from where it was before on both sides... there isn't really any...

pulled my d16y8 out of my 98 honda civic - motor has 111000 miles on it - selling everything that has to do with the motor/tranny/ecu. don't have the harness - had to make a harness for the motor that went in. the head is already sold - all other parts are still up for grabs - make an offer if...

    Low Voltage???

here's the problem that i obvously can't figure out.... i have a 98 civic ex with a jdm b16a motor - stock alternator - stock pullies - oem belt. the belt is properly tensioned - no noise or slips..... when i start my car voltage sits about 14.1 - 14.4 perfectly normal for a running...

D16z6 more powerful than B16a sir II? Help!!!

i just completed a jdm b16a swap in my 98 civic ex - i was told that it was a pain to swap an obd1 motor in - luckily 12v electronics is my life. anyways - without your knock sensor your ecu's gonna be really pissed off at you - wire that in (it's only one wire for chrissake) also if you have...

    kicker l7

i don't know about a kicker l7 ever sounding "good"... they're loud... that's about all i can say for them.. if you want something that sounds good consider a kappa perfect vq 10 - from experience one of the best sounding subs i've ever heard... other good sound quality subs would be a...

    Wiring For EK Header

if you relocate your o2 sensor to down by the cat you will end up throwing a check engine light with your obd2 ecu... i had the same problem with my 98 ex - your ecu is pretty picky about voltage and you can cause a drop by extending your wiring - also your exhaust gas has a tendancy to cool...

    clutch problem

pull your drain plug for your tranny and see if anything comes out - if not - stick a finger in there and try to pull some shreaded metal out... hehe.. check the linkage too since it is only doing this in 3rd and 5th - if no luck there i'd say that you have a definate syncro problem...

    Bouncing Idle

are you throwing a check engine light? if not, getting the air bubbles out of the coolant is a good possibility - air bubbles in the coolant will affect the iac valve (on back of intake mainfold) this valve is activated by the coolant temp and adjusts idle accordingly - or you have a bad iac...

    engine oil reducing

some black smoke at high rpm will be normal - actually good - if you're not seeing this your motor does not like you - you should be running rich at high rpm/when vtec is engaged... depending on how new your seals/gaskets in your motor are could be some of your problem - check over obvious ones...

    Timing Belt Slipping Off Gears...

another little thing i learned from my trusty master certified honda friend i have is to tighten the tensioner - turn the bolt back a half turn - turn the motor over about 6 times - then tighten the tensioner again - supposedly there is no set tension the belt should be... make sure to turn it...

    i need an obd2 jdm b16

depending on where you live this may or may not be a good idea - i just got done with a b16a swap in my 98 civic ex - wasn't a hard swap to do other than the wiring - it helped that 12volt dc electrical is what i do for a living... anyways - went from obdII to obdI - much easier to tune in the...
