I would say it doesn't charge at all. Check the fuses, move the wires around while watching voltage coming from the alternator, do you have a suply voltage to the alternator? And if you have less then 13 V coming from it you need new alternator. The code could be because of that.

You might have some wiring problem, like feed wire is touching the ground or something. Try and follow the wires to the ecu, or do a continuity check. B)

I'm in Europe, where cheaper versions are made. It was a good deal. I'll just swap it for H22. Bought it in Czech and 2.2 are very rare there. :boxing:
