    GSR cams in B16 worth it?

    The old one did a dyno test and it was worth 10 hp on a mildly boosted engine with everything held constant. I have a boosted B16 and did GSR cams, it hits hard at switch over, I set my cross over at full spool 4500 rpm, for me it was worth the 50 bucks.

    I would suggest not to use the T25 turbo, it does spool very fast but will run out of air on the top end fast, make sure you correctly match your engine to turbo size for what you want to do.

    Have you done the basics? I had the same issue and it was the cap and rotor. I have also seen issues with vacuum leaks causing missing, ie the hoses to the map. (this does not raise the idle) Spark plug wires arcing to ground will also do it.

    If you are running a ebay turbo you will need to run an oil restrictor type of turbo oil inlet flange.on the supply side. The other choice is to use a -3 oil line which will restrict the oil flow enough to solve the problem most of the time.

    B16 racer is correct, use a 90-91 teg clutch and flywheel if you have a B16 cable trans. I also am running the XTD clutch but the stage III setup, no problems with it running a turbo B16.

    Turbo's when you shut them down coke, which is the oil burning due to no flow, water cooling helps control the over temp issue and adds life.
