lol no not that part under there, already replaced those with bolts frmo the hardware store, they were like 43 cents a piece?
I'm talking about the transition from the exhust off the front on the engine that goes down to the dp i think
Update:
Got to breaking the hubs and my passanger side lock was uber locked and smashed, so that took some time doing. Then went to unbolt the exhust only to find it completely rusted together to the point where it seemed welded. So my dad and I are in limbo as to continue and risk getting...
too late
didnt mushroom it, but by no means did i help get that sucker out.
I put a 3/4 inch breaker bar resting ontop of it since it stuck out above the top and tried pounding it out. didnt work. But I got the linkage off the shifter end and now its time to torch :mrgreen...
Ok, so I've pulled all the lines conneting to the engine off, etc. vacuum and fuel and coolant. I disconnected the wire harnesses as well as took out the battery. Now I belive its the speedo line that goes from the fire wall to the tranny that I cant get undone. Not sure if it's clipped on or...
So I'm putting in my newer tranny tomorrow and have a few questions. It's the L3(stock, i belive) tranny going on a stock d15b1
Are there any trouble spots that I should be aware of? Particulary rusty bolts?
Should I pull the engine first and then the tranny, or both at once?
And how should...
also if youd like to cut it a lil cheaper for the time being you can go with only one set of 6.5's and put them in the doors
this is an espically good way to save money if you dont drive around any passangers.
and who the hell wants rear fill anyways :p :p
a drunk biker swirved into my lane almost hitting me over the summer, only to hit my friends car behind me at an estimated speed of 120, totaling my friends car and runing the bikers leg
first thing i wouldve done is call 911, fucking getting sued for helping people haha
I am one to belive that a cap is nothing but bad news to your cars electrical charging system. All the things said before are true, it does help dimish the power spikes when your at a stop light, or like situations. With out a resistor to limit the amount of current drawn then it will...

tranny swap coming jan 1st 2006
haha eff this car, the shell is more or less useless. rust on the back half of the car/ already has new rockers and door panels. the car has 170000k on it; a.k.a. useless pos to even think about building the engine/ swapping
and yea the...
so let me see if i understand a few things/have a few questions
1. I can use the STD axles and not have to change anything? Just bolt up and go?
2. If I use the 5 speed's larger axles I need to change the steering knuckles(which btw I have no idea what those are, possibly the cv joints?).
3...

Thanks you guys; phreygod, youve been nothing more then helpful with this entire thing.
Yea my dads gonna rent a lift as part of my 'all inclusive car' x-mas present (new tires, spark plugs/wires, help with putting in the new tranny) so thats no problem with pulling the engine. Just didn't know...
