well hate to say it, but your in trouble, hydro to cable is not mainstream due to the abundance of hydro tranny's. Cable to hydro is much more popular, and there is a few kits out there to adapt, you might be able to find something in the aftermarket, or your going to have one helluva...
you can see all the way through both dif's, if you see a cross pin when looking through the axle holes, it's an open diff, if you see no cross pin, then it's an lsd unit (honda diff that is)
if you really want to do some mods, a crankshaft with a shorter stroke to pull up the rod/stroke ratio would be in order, that will allow more hp to be achieved with way less wear on the block
lol you don't need race fuel and itb to make 150whp with a d series, you can pull as many ponies as a b series any day with the right head work and the proper camshaft and compression ratio to match
you can run the map sensor on the firewall if you keep your stock intake manifold or throttle body, you can also run that engine off a pm6 with no vtec, or convert to obd1 and run the p28 like stated previous
watch out usin p28 on y8, engine will run fine, but ignition timing will be off no matter what you do, y8 cam gear is indexed differently than z6 cam gear.
if you have the complete gsr drivetrain still, swap trannies and install the gsr powerplant, look to upgrade to a y1/ys1/s1/j1 transmission as the ls ratios are not rpm friendly.
yank that head off and have it ported, d series heads have better chambers than b series-doesn't take much to start making some serious hp's. think about upping the size of the intake and exhaust valves, piston swap would be a good idea as well, as the aftermarket cam will be not utilizing the...
is the threads in the oil pan stripped? or is the seal on the drain plug no good, if the seal is toast, replace the seal from honda, if you stripped the threads, you might be able to re tap the threads.
