You are running a PR4 OBD1 ecu now....there is a "P75" ecu that is OBD1 (it is out of the 94 Teg LS I believe)...anyway, a "P75" ECU can be had in either OBD1 or OBD2. I am running the OBD1 P75 on my 89 Hatch with 97 B20b (with the conversion adapter of course) I tried 2 or 3 different ecu's and...
I'm gonna take a stab at this...the power steering fluid that circulated thru the VSS somehow
kept it lubed or cooled ? Now that I have them disconnected and capped, it will eventually
wear itself out ? Because it has some extra gearing for the P/S fluid? Please post your reply,
as I will learn...
What ECU are you using? Is the wire harness on the engine the LS one, or a modified version of
the original Si harness? Basically, the post above hit the nail on the head...
Fuel, air, and spark.....are priority number 1.
I bought a Skunk2 intake to fit my 97 B20b that was recently installed in my 89 Hatchback.
It fits perfectly, and I am pleased with it, but I have a question for anyone already running
one on an LS 1.8 or B20b/z engine....If the car is up on a lift, and you are standing under
the engine...
A friend gave me a VSS out of a 91 Teg RS that had an automatic trans.
It has the 2 lines for the power steering fluid to circulate thru. I cut the
hoses off and rubber capped both of the fittings and popped it into my
YS1 LS trans. It works great ! On to the next swap problem (bug)....
Follow-up on the above axle problem. I put it back on a lift and pryed out the inner hub dust rings and removed the rubber dust rings off of the axle ends. Put it back together and torqued the axle nut to 132 ft/lbs. and the wheels now spin freely. :worthy: Many thanks to everyone for their...
Just finished putting a 97 B20b into my 89 hatch. Running an ITR knockoff, 4-2-1 and it is just about even with the bottom of the oil pan sump. You can't really even see it from the front of the car unless you squat down and look for it. Just a quick note to give you an idea of what all is out...
Thanks to everyone for their input. It will probably be tommorow before I can get it back on the lift and check out everyone's suggestions. I will be back to post my findings. Thanks again !!
Looking for some help from someone who has already tackled this combo: 1989 EF Hatch. Newly installed B20b (with Hasport mounts) attached to a 90-93 Integra LS "YS1" trans. I bolted on a "B" series mid-shaft that a friend had laying around (from a B-16, I think....) Purchased axles for a 90-93...
I am not 100 percent sure, cause I am new to Honda engines, but a local friend told me one time that if you have air in your cooling system it will cause a rough, unusual idle. He mentioned how to get the air out, but I don't remember exactly. Seems like there is a plug somewhere near the...
Another newbie here. I have a quick question for some of you all that have already been down the swap road... I have a 89 Hatch. It now is home to a B20b that is mated to a 90-93 Teg LS "YS1" trans. The trans did not come with a vehicle speed sensor. The original cable one coming thru the...
