    the only thing that sucks about the LS pistons is the low compression. thats why i recommended the GSR or b16a2 pistons, you wont get HIGH compression, just a bit above stock. i think i may do that also, not touch the bottom end. beacuse now that i think of it, i dont think i would want to go...

    you should have built up the block more - GSR or b16a2 pistons and ARP rod bolts (with the rods resized of course) with your setup you might touch 175. don't rev it too high with those LS rod bolts. good luck though man, and congrats on finishing it. did you do the tap of the head yourself...

    the LS rods will be fine, you just need to get ARP rod bolts, and your rods resized after that. use b16a2 pistons, they will fit right into place of the LS pistons, and get new rings (probably some that can take a little more pressure) wrist pins, and new bearings. i believe all b16/18 pistons...

    ok this isn't a typical 'why should i use this or that head' or 'which flows better' but a couple questions to clear up the b16 vs. b18c questions when involving the LSVTEC 1. does it matter which b16 head? (i.e. 92-95 jdm b16a, b16a2/a3)? cause i can get an OK deal on a b16a jdm engine...

    Swappable b18 manifold parts..???

    just wondering, i just got my LS engine to start my LSVTEC swap...i was gonna get a skunk2 or other aftermarket intake manifold to go with a GSR head, but what parts off the LS intake manifold can be salvaged and used on the GSR intake manifold? like throttle body, injectors, IACV, etc...? thanks!

    NEED BOLT SIZE FAST!!!!???

    i need to know the bolt size that mounts the tranny to the block! i don't have the tranny bolts, and i gotta get my engine on a stand!!! i tried 12 x 1.5 and 12 x 1.75 and it wont fit, slightly too big is it an 11mm bolt? or is it a standard? HELP FAST?!

    awesome sounds great. i got a guy on another site that told me if i send him a certain dollar amount and the rods and bolts, he'll send them back to me all done, and all i'll need to do is re-assemble everything and torque everything down. only question is about the stretch thing.. whats up...
