    JDM ECU's

People are telling me that the reason my ignition timing keeps skipping is because the US spec P28 for 95 civics are calibrated deferently compared to JDM P28's, therefore it's probably the reason why my car isn't runing right. Has anyone had this problem? I've heard from many people that don't...

TDC mark is set but when I use a timing light to look at the TDC mark it's too close to the front of the car. I decided push the dist. towards the firewall to advance the time but I can't get it close to where it's suppose to be. Someone tell me what is wrong? I mean the distributor is push as...

    Overheating?

The car isn't overheating if the timing doesn't skip. The problem is that it keeps skipping and I don't knwo what it is. The spark plugs, wires, distributor seems fine but the timing belt keeps skipping.

    Skipping Timing!

well the reason why my motor is overheating is the timing belt skips. How can the time belt skip? (NOTE: the motor came completely stock from Hmotorsonline with bad injectors/timing off)<-----I'm not bad mouthing them but could it be just a bad motor? First, we took a look at the timing belt...

    Overheating?

Ok! Now I'm frustrated. We adjust the cam gear and tensioner and the car ran great for about 20mins. We stopped at a gas station to check if the car was overheating (thumps up) not overheating. As we pull out the gas station and at low throttle between 1k-3k the car starts to backfire. Feels...

    Overheating?

The tensioner may just be old and need to be pushed up alittle more, I mean the motor hasn't been started in a while and it's from Japan. The coolant was bleed properly besides after we took off the timing belt and turned the stock cam and reinstalled the timing belt the car ran fun but it's...

    DPFI->MPFI; MAP sensor?!

Rywire did my conversion harness for me and said it was plug and play and they didn't give me a sensor for the MAP. Do I need it as well? I did a D16a (z6) into my 91 dx.

    Overheating?

well it was the cam gear that was off but there's another problem. Why is my timing belt skipping? (ex. A friend and I adjusted the timing and we didn't know but the time belt actually skips and lands on a different teeth) Could my tensioner be bad?

    Overheating?

It's a D16A jdm but equal to the z6 motor. I'm checking the cams tomorrow hopefully I can find the problem. How was the cam be off anyways? That's very confusing.

    Overheating?

my fan works fine and my temp guages spikes H and than C. Feels like it runs very lean (backfires at idle from the mufflers)

    Overheating?

Overheating OR BAD motor! Anyone has any ideas why I am overheating like after 2mins. I just recently did a swap and I'm overheating really bad. My headers glow bright red after I drive it down the street and back? Water pump is new, did a complete flust, radiator is fine? what else?

    91 civic DX swap! Help?

Yes it is. I've already mention that in the pervious posts. I wonder if it's worth doing, I mean this Dx motor has over 266,000 miles on it. And I just need something reliable to commute to work.

    91 civic DX swap! Help?

Thanks for the info guys! I actually was thinking of just swaping the dx dash harness with the 89 Si harness and than swaping in the D16A using a jumper harness. But i'll try to do some rewiring as well to make sure everything works. I'm sure the wiring won't be hard. Also it's not a Z6 going in...
