Body mount...the passenger side mount for the auto tranny is lower than the one for a manual tranny. I just cut one off a manual car and welded it in place of the other but it looks like shit. I would have rather started with a manual car because this was supposed to be a semi-show car...now...
Before anybody tries to swapa B18A into an EF Civic make sure if you're planning on it being a 5 speed that you get a 5 speed car to put it into. I have read I don't know how many threads describing how to swap a B18 into a EF hatch but I have yet to read anything about swapping one into an...
I removed my power steering a long time ago...so basically it's the mount kit, right? The car (RSX) has a Jackson Racing Supercharger on it, and a few what-not go fast parts...My buddy ownes it and he went into a corner a little too hard and backed it into a utility pole at about 60...he wants...
Is there any way to cram a K20A out of an RSX into my DA Teg? I have a line on a complete RSX Type-S that has had the ass wiped off of it and I was wondering if I could make it work.
Yeah, I'm just going to go with the Hasport mounts but I think I can fab the linkage myself pretty easily. It's basically the Civic end by the shifter and the Teg end by the tranny...It can't be anything I can't do...
As for the harness, this is why I'd like to find a guide to the swap. I'm...
So if I just swap the harnesses all I need is the mount kit and linkage? The car is a DX so....that's it??? What linkage do I need or can I fab one from the ones I have? Also are the mounts necessary or will the stockies work for now? Thanks for the help...just a few moe Q's and I'll be set...
From what I understand swapping a B18A1 (obd0) motor into a 91 Hatch is about as simple as swaps get...or am I hearing wrong? I have a complete 1990 Teg and a complete 91 Hatchy...will I need to buy anything that isn't already in either car? Any help would be great!!!!

Point made. Sorry if I came across as an asshole. I know that everybody is entitled to their own opinion and I respect that. I just wanted the guy that originally posted to know that it's not really all that hard to do with what he has. I've done it a few times and once you know what you...
You're right...but if I read the topic correctly it asked how to do it, not if it was the best thing to do. I think he'll be alright if he just makes due with what he has...like I said, if you're afraid of doing work, you shouldn't be doing a motor swap...
OMFG...not everybody is made of money. If he was going to do it "right" by your book, he should have asked your permission before he bought it...with what he has available, the B18A1 will do him just fine. The Y8 is a good motor, too, if you want the same thing you had...IMO, GSR motors are...
An OBD0 motor is fine, too if you swap the fuel rail, injectors, distibutor and ECU with the OBD you need Teg motor and you're good to go...BTW, the LS tranny has taller gears so for turbo applications it usually works better. Just my $.02
C'mon now...just swap the dizzy, injectors and rail and ecu and do it right...it's plug and play, man. I just got done swapping a OBD0 Teg motor into my EG and it's WAY EASIER to just swap all that than to spend an assload on a GSR motor and IMHO the B18A1 is more tunable because it's non-vtec...
I am sorry. I have just been asking EVERYWHERE (i.e. hondatech, ohiohondas, here, etc) and nobody seems to have a clue about swapping a B18A (OBD0) motor into a 1992 Hatch... I have seen them in tons of cars so why am I having so much trouble finding answers???? I have both cars side by side...
I have a 1992 EG Hatch and a 1990 Integra sitting side by side waiting for the swap. Both cars are complete but I need to know what else I will need besides what I already have....
I have the Hasport mounts but I need to know how to convert it from what I believe to be OBD0 to OBD1 or 2...I...
