thats all I needed to know thanks for the advice..o yea one more question the civic obd0 civic runs a 1 wire o2 sensor if im not mistaken and the obd1 cars run a 4 wire what needs to be done in that situation if im still using the obd0 harness
I recently purchased a 90 ex sedan with a d16a6 and was just curious to get a little info on an obd1 swap..
I have a complete d16z6 head...with dizzy..intake manifold all sensors ect..and a complete d16z6 wiring harness..and a manual p28 ecu..
my questions is if I use all the parts above I...
If you are talking about boosting a honda which is what I would imagine you are ....check these sites out and just read read read...

Hey man thanks for all the info..and yea i did leave all those parts out on the bottom...i have so many parts for that car it isnt even funny, but like you said I will check around and see what kind of prices I can come up with...just curious do you have any pics of your setup..or numbers you...
Yea man I understand what you are saying..in theory it seems like a good idea..im just saying I dont know how efficient it will be..save your money and buy a nice cold air intake ??? my suggestion, but like I said it will be something diff..so if you like it go for it
I would image there wouldnt be much of a difference in efficiency...basically would be the same as the fake fmic which is what it is but...you never know get it for a good price throw it on and see how it works
I never said those numbers what on stock internals, and no there isnt a shit load of money involved in doing a good build like I said if you know what you are doing. Just look it at this way... you run your stock motor on boost..you blow you are looking at a shit load of cash to get it...
I would have to disagree on your last statement research any site such as turbod16.com homemadeturbo.com and you will see some SOHC engines putting out massive amouts of power.. upwards in the 5 to 700 hp range even more..and I will put money these setups cost 3 times less than a DOHC turbo...
dont know if it can make it cut out, but that may be one of the problems...the harness in the car now was different from all other models...it was equiped with a 1.6 e- v tec ...it was suppost to be the "great" gas mileage car...just do some reasearch and see what you can come up with
did you do a harness swap?? if not your problem may be that the VX uses a 5 wire wideband 02 sensor..I'm not 100% sure on what plugs the 1.6 has compared to the GSR engine..you will need to do a rewire or ecu pinout change to be capable of running the GSR engine with the VX harness...seeing that...
The log style manifolds are some of the best on the market..and as bistec said if it is cast go for it..just make sure after you run it for a while check it for any cracks..it will only show how goods its gonna be when it gets hot..just understand that if it does crack it may be a little harder...
Just use your better judgment on the IC and piping...as far as something that works for a setup like you plan on running a dsm side mount would work great. there is no need to find a junkyard oil pan..just tap yours for the oil return line...
and a list of stuff needed would be...
You can eailsy put together a turbo kit for a dseries homemade style...best place to check out is Homemadeturbo.com , just look and research dont ask any questions everyone will be bitches about any question you ask.
