ok my plans have changed only slightly. i am going to replace the head with the b20, im going to put on the skunk2 IM, the megan header, and replace the piston rings. i am going to be doing this in my garage and i plan on not taking out the block. hopefully it will take me a max. of 2 days...
i could just hone the thing myself right? i could just rent/buy a tool to do that at some auto store i think.
what do you mean by preventative maintenence, like bearings?
the main reason i am going to do this is because my stock engine is burning oil, i figured i would change the head gasket and piston rings. i just want to stop burning oil and having something a little more powerful than stock.
i guess i will just switch heads, put the skunk2 im and megan...
ive been told not to bother with the pistons because the cylinder walls might be damaged/ not circular anymore..the stock engine has 158,xxx miles on it.
and also would i have to have this setup tuned to run right?
from what i have read the b20 head and the b18b head are exactly the same... that is why im going with the b20 ( i got it dirt cheap)
