Why are the jdm motors vauge in that respect? You would think they would have some way of identifying engines without ripping into them.

The type r motor is the b18c5. the gsr is the b18c1. make sure the engine stamp says b18c5. as far as where to get it i couldn't tell you, those engines are a rare commodity that I wish I could find for a decent price.

Damn, that is a beast ass job... I got an 88 dx with the typical honda rust, and a half ass job on the wide body. Those pics make me wanna get my baby in the garage more than ever now.
