    I've seen a few 1st gen crx's with b series motors, not sure how much of a pain it was to swap. But i do know the d-series crx motors are a pain to put in (including the HF). But the 86-89 teg DOHC (d16a1) will be your best bet for a direct swap. Chris

    I don't think you would have a problem with the tranny, but with the horsepower you would be running, i would consider aftermarket axles, and a really good clutch and pressure plate. With all the money you will have in the motor to run 22lbs, the axles, clutch, and etc will be nothing. Chris

    One way to help figure out which tranny you are using is to check your speed at a certain MPH in fifth gear, then use one of the tranny calculators online to determine which one you have. The thing is, some tranny's that have different codes can have the same gearing ratio. Just a suggestion...
