I didn't look at it close enough to see...i just put the pan back on and I'm going to pull the motor out before I disassemble it any more. It is much easier to do on an engine stand. I'll take pictures as soon as I get it out and apart, which should be within the next 24 hours.

Looks like a spun bearing, I found a few chunks in the oil pickup, the motor is coming out tomorrow night :(

Will do, hopefully it is something small. I'm pretty OCD about my car and any time it makes a weird noise/rattle/tap, I pull it apart to make sure everything is alright. I may just be over reacting

Yeah, I listened to it with a piece of hose, and it didn't seem like it was coming from under the valve cover, but you never know. I guess it could be a bad oil pump, which could also cause a spun bearing. While I'm in there I'm just going to throw a new oil pump, water pump, timing belt and...

Someone on Honda-tech said it could be the LMA's ticking too...I forgot to add that VTEC has been engaging later that where I have it set in Crome. I'm new to B series, so thank you for your patience.

True, I just hate trying to torque down stuff when the motor is in the car. :( Oh well, it will be worth it.

Alright, so I noticed that my GSR swap developed a slight tick/knock earlier today. I'm not sure what triggered it. It has been fairly cold out and I do have pretty thick oil in it (10w40). It is garaged and I let it warm up before driving it in cold weather for the most part. Just to...

awesome, i just figured it out....the person that i bought the swap from had an obd1 alternator on it...i have the GSR wiring harness, so i'll just use the other plug :)

Alright, so i'm finally close to being done with my GSR swap, but i have one problem that I haven't solved. The integra and civic alternator plugs are different...and I don't remember reading anything about that, and I can't find any information on it. I talked to a tech at honda that i know...

I really just need the piece that bolts straight to the block, but if you have the whole thing that will work too. Let me know what you have. ^_^

i already have a p28 and conversion harness...i just don't want to use the crappy, cut up harness that is in the car :mellow: my main question is CAN you use the GSR harness, and how hard is it? Otherwise, i'm going to have to track down another stock harness for my car and modify it, because...

what if i have access to the entire wiring harness from the teg? i'm just worried that the harness that is in the car is too hacked up...and i like everything to be extremely clean.

well, i forgot to add that i'm going to use a y7 head, which should make it easier....but i'm not sure whether i need that other sensor or not. do obd1 cars have that sensor?
