The Release(throwout) bearing is only turning when you depress the pedal beyond the freeplay point. Bad Release bearings make noise only when you step on the pedal and stop making noise when the pedal is up.(assuming you have the correct freelay). The pilot bearing also only turns when the trans...
Whats the best way to adjust the camber on a lowered 89 Civic ? Adjustable upper arm anchor bolts or adjustable upper ball joints. Best brand of each please.
10K miles after B16 swap and 1"lowering the front tires are bald on the inside 2".
Need some more info....What did you swap into what?
If you swaped a SiR package into an EF and you used the SiR axels, you need to remove the hub seals or the will bind up the hubs so they won't turn.
The Y1 LSD trans on my JDM B16 from a 1990 SIR has a bearing making noise. It's believe it's either the Input shaft bearing or one of the other main or countershaft bearings cause it is grinding any time the clutch is engaged weather in gear or not.
My question is what I use for replacement...
There is usually abot 10% ethanol added to help emissions in some cities, especially up north. It can lean the engine slightly when in open loop ( more ethanol (or methanol) is required for stoichiometric mixture) but this is usually good as stock motors tend to run a bit rich anyway.

Piston ring technology- sophistication or necessity

WELL, NOSHIT DICK TRACY..I'm sure glad you got that figured out at least.
I have no idea where you are going with all this whole agument son. Please read my original...
hmotors online is a first rate company. I bought my SiR swap (JDM B16) from them and a freind bought the second gen 170hp for his swap. Steve is very good to work with and had the best freight rates . I also bought my HASPORT mounts and shift linkage from hmotors and got a very big discount...
By the way "blow by" refers to the combustion gas that escapes past the piston rings into the crankcase. The PVC system normally recovers this gas and returns it back into the intake manifold to be reburned. This is a pollution system not a performance system .. In the old days and in race...
Sorry ....forgot about this tread...I live in Minnesota...Blowby occures in every engine to some degree...milky deposits due to this occur in cold climates especially if the car is used for short trips... longer trips (10mi or more) warm the oil enough to evaporate the water out.
You really...
If I understand correctly, your asking how to control a front wheel SKID, which is what your decribing.....front wheels lose traction and the car goes straight...right?
Actually once you have the fronts slipping your f..ed. The first thing you have to do is get the wheels rolling again by...
Hey crxtunerfan..what part of this don't you understand? All the crap you quoted is about a Neon written by someone who we will have to assume knew the power curve and trans ratio's of THAT car....I think that's just what I originally said. <_<
Pappy
OK guys..Who has a GOOD method for making the larger B16 Top radiator hose fit the smaller 89 Si radiator inlet. I slipped 2 layers of innertube over the inlet to shim it up but I'm not very happy with that even though it doesn't leak. <_<
