I would agree that I do have a lot to learn about Hondas.....lol Thats why I am here active in the discussions:D But one thing remains the same no matter what engine you work on.....theory and principle! Only difference is how its applied.

    D series motor

Intersting, I would agree with you Blanco on the way that you stated your last post. After some research in the design of mentioned motors. But I did not miss anything as you stated. (not to start a bad thread, but this is a good topic) "Quote your last post, With DOHC engines you can tune...

    D series motor

Well one point that we can all agree on is the bottom end is alot stronger than any b series block. The stout girdle is a plus. Now I have looked at both the d16a6 head and the b16 series head...mainly to decide which way I was going to go with my build. I did find something interesting in that...

    D series motor

Dont under estimate the D16a6, thats what I am currently building and they are a very stout motor. Even though some will argue about the d16a6 becuase its a SOHC.

    Paint or Dye? (interior)

With Proper prep work either one will last a long time.....but the best solution is to just have it wrapped by a pro in vynil....you can change again anytime you want , without having to strip dye or paint to do so....(note too much paint will eventually crack and look terrible. But the vynil...

    Turbo Prep?!?

A small note about the port and polishing. This is fine as long as it is only done on the exhaust side of the head. I will state reasons for this below. As well as some additional tips.... 1. Make sure to port match on the head where the exhaust maniford mates up. Reason is, port the exit...

89 Civic DX D16a6 Swap Help needed

Ok, now you have lost me completely. I was under the impression that the dizzy was the distributor. If the car is wired for OBD1 then one would think that I need that distributor. But you stated that I may need a non OBD distributor. Which is now confusing me. I know alot about cars as I have...

Ok, the idea behind the dizzy was correct. Now keep in mind I inhereted a frankenstien car...lol. The Prior owner sold the car because he could not get it to run correctly. The dizzy is the problem child. This I should have known since the ecu being used is a p75, which is an OBD1 ecu. The...

    My OBD0 to OBD1 Conversion

The answer to the bypass question is.... Various manufacturers make them, AEM is the most prominent. The bypass is exactly that, more or less a foam filter that is put inline on the cold air intake, positioned higher into the engine bay. It is designed to allow air flow into the intake if...
