cool, but how can you tell? it came out of a EDM car do they use the same ECU's , meaning EDM's use JDM's ECU's?

here's the pics. in one you can see it's stamped showing 92' but not sure if thats that year of the ecu? can you guys tell by the plug inputs? does anyone here have a P30 both obd-1 and OBD2 so i can see the difference?
