i have the same problem when changing out intermediate shafts! you can unbolt it but you mess up the threads when bolting it back on! i even have to shim the bolts cause it wont bolt all the way in. when you find an answer to the problem let me know! lol
try b20b/z! both motors left stock pulls hard. also a great canidate for b20-vtec conversion. not a good canidate for turbo charge applications though!
there is a sensor on the ignition. just unscrew it!! yes you can use the bolts from the flexplate to mount the flywheel.you will need the bolts to mount the pressure plate to the flywheel!!!!
its not the ecu nor a tune-up! i owned an ek hatch with a b18c5 with basic bolt ons( jdm 4-1 header, intake, cat back, complete msd ignition) and the car still ran like crap. im guessing the culprit was the weight of the car. my friends own eg hatches with b18c1 motors and pull on me all day...
appreciate the information!!! JDM d15 swap is now complete!!!!!!
UPDATE: you mean d6 pin right? the c15 pin is for obd2 models! correct me if im wrong! the d6 pin is a light blue wire right? just cut the light blue wire and solder the vtec pressure switch to it right?
problem fixed except cel code 14!
would you know how to wire the vtec oil pressure sensor? can you ground out the black wire on the ecu side harness? what about on the pressure switch itself? there are 2 wires coming from the harness that plugs into the pressure switch itself! what do i do with...
thanks for the information man. i could never figure out why my engine boggs a little bit at idle. i was going to change out the iac valve with the stock dx iac valve. i thought it was just a bad sensor! so i just cut the black wire coming from the vtec oil pressure sensor and ground it? the car...
i have the same problems! check your cel and see what code it throws! if you're using the stock non vtec harness than you have to add a few wires! try using a real p28 too!
i just recently swapped my stock dx motor for a jdm d15 vtec motor and used the original auto tranny. does anybody know how to do the wiring for the single cam vtec like in an ex model? my car threw a check engine light 14(iac valve) and 22(vtec oil pressure switch). can anybody tell me how to...
i have a 95 civic dx automatic hatch with with a jdm d15 motor swap. the p28 does work with the automatic tranny though. car runs fine except boggs a little bit at idle when you hit the gas.
