so the other day i was cleaning my car and i noticed that there was an oil spot where i usually park my car.
i jacked up the front end to check it out and the leak appears to be coming from the linkage pin's rubber boot that enters the tranny.
is there a way to replace this seal without ripping...
so i installed a tach yesterday and i got it all wired up but i wasent sure which wire to go to on the dizzy so i used the other method which was putting a clip around one of my spark plug wires.this method works ok.... but its a little sluggish and theres sum interference from the other spark...

the cel comes on and the tach jumps every once and a while but it runs like a champ the stock tach in my si hits the dash cuz the redline on my new engine is 8600 and the tach ends at 8 grand!!! lol thats honda power !!!
i check the ecu and traced all of the 4 added wires and 3 of them were correct but the knock sensor was in pin b18 when it shouldhave been in pin b19 so i put in in pin b19 and i dont get the hiccup anymore and the cel went away
ok it is throwing a code 23 which is knock sensor, is this because the engine is using 3 mounts instead of 5 stock ones or is this because the knock sensor is actually bad? where is the knock sensor located? pics would be helpful so i can see if it is hooked up right.
too much ! lol it was 2000 for the engine and 3000 for the install that included new rad and timing belt and water pump and mounts plus the axles from the teg were abs axles so the tech had to get them machined down
I talked to the tech again yesterday when i was picking up my old enging and i told him about my thoughts that it could be a knock sensor, he said that that was a possiblity but he thinks it is the ecm he said that the reason the code doesnt exist is because it is an exhaust gas reccirculation...
I think the problem is timing related because it only happens when the car is warm not when it its cold, also it gargles when i let off the gas and when im at exactly 2500rpm the CEL goes off.
k i got my car back ! and the engine light comes on but the tech at honda said dont worry about it because the code its giving doesnt exist. and another thing is when im driving around sometime the engine "hic-ups" it also hicups when im appraoching redline... what could be causing this??? the...
