how much is a b18c5 type R engine?

I was about to pick one of those up on ebay for the same price. The guy was really nice and new his crap, but I was still unsure. I asked for the wire transfer info (only way he would accept payment) and it was routed to a place in Russia, or somewhere close to that. Turned out to be a scam...

    vtec at 6500 RPM??

What does your tach say when you hit the fuel cut? Is it at 9000, or does your tach not go that high? If it says like 10k, then your tach's off. I think the way to find out the best crossover point is to dyno the using only the small lobe up to around 6000. Then dyno the larger lobe (cross...

    Energy suspension bushings ?

Getting the bushings out was the biggest problem I had. They all went back in relatively easy though. I didn't use a hydraulic press, but I'm sure that would have been easier than using my weight to force them in. Some needed more work than others, but I got them all in just fine. I'm not...

    Obd2 Gsr Into Obd1 Eg

So I can just get my Hondata and be done w/ it? Sweet. Can you reccommend what ecu to run? I'm leaning towards the P28. Btw I'm getting a Skunk2 Intake manifold, so I dont need to control the secondary runner butterfly.

    Obd2 Gsr Into Obd1 Eg

Hey. I just picked up a B18C1 motor for my EG. The problem is that it is an OBD2 motor. Now I know it's "easy" enough to make it work in the car. The question I have is what do I need to do to run the engine off an OBD1 Hondata S200 system? Do I need one of those conversion harnesses or...

Rear Disc Conversion For '93 Civic

Sounds great. Thanks for your help. BTW, did you get the master cylinder and proportioning valve? Of course, if you have an EX, you wouldn't need those.

Rear Disc Conversion For '93 Civic

Hey, I'm trying to do a rear disc swap for my EG. I was wondering what parts will I need and from what car? I know I need a rear trailing arm assembly w/ calipers, and rotors, but from which car? Some say that the 99-00 Civic Si, 94-01 integra, or del sol will all work? Did all del sols come...

What B-series Is Better For Autox?

I'm not sure how easy the H22 swap is? Do I have to do anything major (i.e. cutting stuff)? Won't that add too much weight to my front end and cause the car to understeer more?

What B-series Is Better For Autox?

Blanco, do you plan on swapping a motor? or do you have a '99-'00 Si w/ a B16 or a del sol w/ one? If you swap the engine, you'll be bumped in Street Mod (provided your chassis fits into the rules). In street mod, you can pretty much do anything to the engine. Read more about it here. This...

What B-series Is Better For Autox?

I am going to to fully build one of these engines up in a year or so, but I have enough money to do either of these swaps now. Since the difference between the motors is around $700, I would like to know what you guys would do. If you think the B16, what would you spend the money on? I am...

    Spring Rate

No no...he meant 6kg/mm and 8kg/mm. It works out to be around 350lb/in and 450lb/in, or something like that.

    Spring Rate

I dont care at all about ride quality first off. I dont drive the car daily..just to and from events and occasionally around town. Will an 18k rear spring cause the upper shock(strut?) mount to break or any other suspension component for that matter to break? Welding it is a little extreme...

    Spring Rate

I'm am about to purchase some coil-over's in pretty much any spring rate I want. I was just wondering if anyone has some spring rates that they really like for autocrossing and/or road racing. I have progressive rate springs now that work alright, but I am looking for a linear fixed rated...

    Si Head

The gearing on that engine is extremely wide. Apparently the economical part infected the engine and the transmission. Make sure you get a different tranny ( EX or SI, if they will bolt up?) to make that extra hp worth it.
