thanks for all the responses!
i dont need a car that will do 170mph down the road lol.. just something thats fairly quick and will get up and go if i need it to (seeing as most people in ohio suck at driving lol)
i dont know about turbo kits though, considering i havent really looking into...
Alright, so im searching around for cars, and found a SUPER clean 4dr integra LS for a decent price. Now i want a daily driver that wont fail me. But im def. a lead foot and like the power to be there when i want. Besides turbo what can i do? Would i beable to say take a gsr head, or any b...
ah i get it now!
so pretty much it would be alot better just picking up a normal integra GSR if i can get it for the same price... or even less then what it would cost to swap a b18c1 into a civic
Ah alright, thanks!
I thought it would bolt right up. Dont civics come with B16's in them? or is that a llittle bit older style civic?
also from the pictures provided the integra doesnt look to bad (has a minimal amount of rust...and some paint fading on the rear panels and...
So I am thinking on picking up a black 1998 civic w/ 145k miles. Now im thinking on doing an engine swap and swapping in a B18C1 engine... Not only because it has less miles, but more horsepower and it would seem to make a nice project for me and my dad to do this winter! (note: the total cost...
lol... i live in the northern part... i live out towards the country so im more worried about speedbumps (at school), railroad tracks (they can be pretty nasty sometimes) and horse crap!
yeh, im now thinking on just trying to find a decent car without a body kit
i did find a local 98' Civic ex w/ B18 motor and transmission swap, and alot of stuff professionally done to the motor for $5000 OBO
only problem is it has a salvage title due to hitting a deer and the power locks...
not sure how much clearance there is... but theres def. a good inch.. maybe two. All i know is its a blitz body kit or something like that
I live in ohio btw... the speed bumps arent HUGE...but you def. know when your going over one lol
however i am hoping the guy still has the stock parts...
well i dont own a car with a body kit...but i found a nice car with one on it for a decent price...and i dont want to have to rip the body kit off if i dont have to. So i am asking if anyone has experiece with speed bumps/rail road tracks and body kits. I am mainly asking this because there are...
yeh, most of the ones with H22 that are reasonably close that i could go look at are a little out of my price range. or have like 200k+ miles on them.
turbo wouldnt come for a while though. but what could i do to bump up the HP without turbo. and how should i build my engine to handle trubo?
not sure if the quotes around clean were needed or not lol. but clean could mean something different to everyone... What I mean by it is just make it look nice (as in not dirty)... clean to someone else could mean like reabuilding it and polishing stuff up.
I believe the H23 puts out 160hp...
Alright so i plan to possibly be picking up a 94' Prelude with an H23 engine. I already plan to "clean" up the motor and make it look pretty. But i was also wondering if it was a decent platform for some modding/turbo'ing. Or is there a better engine/car out there that would be better for...
