[COLOR=red]That's a compensator arm. Like B16 said it mounts to the front link of the trailing arm. Holds the rear trailing arm to the chassis where the toe adjustment bolt is. He must have bolted it there to keep the relative components together.
That first car pic is definately not a real Spoon Sports Type R - it has an ACURA emblem and the ACURA word placard on it also. Hmm, no Acura in Japan (Home of Spoon Sports). Why would Spoon do such a thing? Nope, not the real thing.
