this is exactly what it is doing through that little window on the ecu. 4 long blinks, then 3 fast blinks. i built this car from ground up myself. the only thing i need to figure out is where to start looking in terms of fuel system problems that would trigger the cel.
:confused:trying to narrow down what could throw this code. i know this code is for the fuel system, but what part of it am i looking to find a problem...motor needs rebuilt( rings, headgasket). runs great! after it warms up, it throws this code and cel comes on...this is the ONLY code it will...
any OBD0 alternator will work on this setup. as long as it has the round plug, it will work. on the issue of popping a fuse, you have a short in your engine harness. or in the alt plug itself. as for the low charging, check ground and positive connections everywhere.
^^^the brakes and shit would be cool, but not necessary. the stock brakes and spindles will match up with the 91 DA axles just fine. you need to remove the dust seals from the backside of the stock spindles for clearance.
i didn't read anywhere in the originator's post that he had any axles or mounts from the 92. his buddy is parting out a 91 DA, so i was just letting him know what to get while he had the chance. anyway...yes on aftermarket mounts. make sure you get a complete three(3) piece set if you opt for...
all of these are integrated onto the distributor. the entire casing has te be replaced in order to change the sensors. if you change the dizzy to a known-good one, it will probably fix your problem...
out of your buddy's 91, you'll need the ecu, the intake manifold, possibly the dizzy, injectors, half shaft, both axles, shift linkages, and the rear mount bracket.
check the main relay, it's a B*TCH to get to on the EF chassis. try taking off the drivers sid panel on the end of the dash, where the door closes. it might be a little easier. that's what it sounds like to me...
^^^^^^exactly right! I just did thi same swap. all you need to get if it is an actual Si is the original engine wiring harness from the car you are swapping into. also this is true if the motor is obd0.
I have the same swap in mine. everything is good on mine using the stock 90-91 teg axles. since you have the Si hatch, you don't hafta change your spindles. all you have to do is pry the dust covers off the back side of your hub (spindle). that will make enough clearance for the axles when you...
I'm looking to swap a B20 into my si shell. it didn't come with the engine harness, so I'm trying to pick one up for cheap. If anyone knows where I can find one or if you have one for sale, let me know on asking price + shipping to 73005. thanks...
