    I appreciate the input and all, so don't get me wrong, but right now we're using a .040 head gasket in order to keep compression under 12:1, so if I lose a little compression, I can go with a .030 or stock .029 head gasket and get it back, AND I don't have to "deal" with the LS VTEC head thing...

    Correct. There's a little more to it than that. It has 84mm Darton sleeves too, so it's basically a 2.0 liter GSR with LS rods and crank. Good Lord that's a long name for a motor! Anyways, he's using Crower Stage 3 cams if I'm not mistaken, and has a CTR tranny. But don't take that tranny name...
