    89 dx civic hatch upgrade

Thanks. I didn't know about the ECU matching the head. Makes it easier since I got the b16a head already I might as well just swap it. :D Less work to do. Thanks for the help. I've already got a list of parts I want when I get the port n polish done. :D I'm so pumped. I've already got some...

    not hitting vtec

It could be as simple as the VTEC silynoid(spelling?) is out. I know on both my civic and my GS-R had problems for VTEC to kick in. It would sound like its trying to kick in but wouldn't really work. I had to get those replaced and it fixed the problem. I hope that helps.

    89 dx civic hatch upgrade

Thanks. Yah. I'm trying to min max. I'm getting another car later next year from a friend that he is reserving for me. So that is why I'll probably go with the B20 swap. Now you mentioned it has to be tuned. Now is that in reference to the fact that I do need to get a new ECU/or reprogrammed...

    89 dx civic hatch upgrade

Okay here is what i got: 89 honda civic dx hatch b16a motor swap. Exhaust Intake Now, I was considering that I would want to get a upgrade. I've been out of the loop for a while now so don't flame me if I mistate something. Since this is a JDM motor, I was wondering on its value. I am...

    1976 1st Gen Civic

I've never heard of swapping motorcycle motors into a car chassis ever. Only into one of those custom buggy things with 4 wheels that go off road. That is it. weird. but hey, sound like a plan if that is what you want to do. And since its a 1st gen civic, it should fit without a problem. Though...

whats the best engine to get for 3200 or under?

Well depends on your needs. If you want a good balance with installation cost and upgrades(pistons, cams, exhaust, ect...) Then you would have to go with a cheaper motor. Like B series. If your 3200 cap is just for the whole purchase of the motor with tranny and ecu and all that junk then...

    engine swap to b16a

Thanks. I already put a order in for a oil pan from the dealership. They do not have any in stock so it will be a few days for it to ship here. The parts dept. said that the oil pan part number is the same for the A2 and A3. So, hopefully it is the same for my "b16a" block. Thanks for the help.

    engine swap to b16a

I found a Moroso oil pan but the freaking thing is back ordered until the 27th... Now my problem is that I need it soon. This oil leak is pretty bad. That is why I need to get a oil pan STAT. Does the oil pan from a B16A2/3 fit on mine which is a B16A...

    engine swap to b16a

I had a finished my engine swap done a while ago. Problem now is that I do not know exactly which oil pan would fit on this block. The engine that I have is a b16a. Do I use a pan from a 99-00 Civic Si(B16A2) or a 94-95 Del Sol(B16A3)? I have already threaded the oil pan once already. But now...

    Civic Wagon 4WD

Well, "if" that is the % to the rear, then its not as great as I initially thought. I guess I'll have to do a bit more research to see how much is actually put to the rear.

    91 Civic Hatchback

I'd go for a A/C bracket to keep the old a/c unit just for those hot summer days. I don't know where you are at. But you might want to keep that a/c unit. But its up to you. I kept mine just cuz Houston summers are hella hot.

    Civic Wagon 4WD

That is why I never called the guy back. I dislike being pressured to get something that is a big dollar item. And why is it 10% rear?? That is so lame. I thought it was like closer to 50/50 or something like it.

aftermarket parts for a dohc zc???

Just keep in mind that it is a D series engine. If you limit to that it might help your search. Try looking on the link below. Its a old site that is still up but not updated. There might be something for you in there. HYBRID The Honda Hybrid On-line Resource

    RWD hatch

The RWD conversion from what I understand is really a headache. Yes your car will be VERY unique. Is the time and cost to do such a conversion worth it? I am with the same answer, not worth it.

    Civic Wagon 4WD

Is it because the parts are "old" and that its a '88? Anyways, I have not bought that civic yet and the individual was "pressuring" me to make the purchase on the spot. I do not like to be pressure and all that. Especially when I am going to spend more than $1k to buy it. But thanks for the...

    Civic Wagon 4WD

Why won't the AWD hold up to the power boost? Isn't there like a upgrade for the drive train to support the higher HP?

    Civic Wagon 4WD

Okay for the earlier posts, H series is just way too complicated. Its too much work for the power gain. B series is more cost effective but still requires a lot of work. Now the ZC, from what I am now getting is the most bang for the buck. Or I could just swap it with a electric engine so I...

    Civic Wagon 4WD

So, I'm guessing a ZC set up is the easiest with a turbo. Now my question is what is the difficulty level in doing this conversion/swap?

    Civic Wagon 4WD

I saw a Civic Wagon on sale today and it is a '88. I am asking if there is any history of a B series swap done to this particular car before buying it. I am pretty sure any D series engine will fit. And if a B series swap is possible, will there be complication with the AWD system and the B...

    pricing of a GS-R 1992

I don't think I can find him. He's somewhere in Virginia and I'm in Hawaii now. But I wished I had sold it then. There are a lot of people in Virginia that either fix up cars or are people that are wanna be's that have all the fake stuff on their car to make others think they got the go... I...
