I got the swap complete, and I am VERY impressed with it, I only added plug wires, some timing adjustments, fuel rail, injector mods, cold air intake, full exhuast with SI header are there any other mods I can do, like little things that I can peice together for like the fuel system, timing...

I have a 93 civic cx hatch and Im swaping the obd2 civic ex "1996" engine in...What kind of tips can I get? I know I need the p28 ecu, what about extra senors or wiring? What exactly do I need to know for the wiring, plugs and all?

In a way form this is the right area...if I put the obd2 ecu that means I have to run a whole new wiring harness instead of just using the obd1 p28 ecu and adding vtec wires?

Hey, I have a 93 Civic CX hatch, light as they make...Right now I have the LX engine in it but Im in the process of putting a 96 EX vtec engine in it with 90k on it, 5spd...I have full exhuast, just had the windows tinted, coil overs, Black widow front bumper, carbon fiber shifter, cold air...

The valve seals would be the first place I'd look...one of the seals could be bad and oil dripping onto ur piston to make it smoke...then I'd check the head gasket maybe it wasnt placed on correctly or is just bad, then I'd check the intake manifold seal...Hope I was of some help

Try adding a vtec controller...maybe obd1 dsitributor...I am in the process of putting the D16Y8 into my 1993 Civic CX hatch myself I purchased a Apex-i vtec controller for assurance of the vtec engaging correctly...but i have the OBD2 P2P ECU and found out i need the OBD1 p28 ECU which i havent...

I need a OBD1 P28 ECU which is out of any 92-95 Civic EX chipped or non chipped in good working shape. I have a OBD2 P2P ecu out of a 96 EX coupe and a OBD1 93 CX ECU too if their anything ur interested in for trade...Thanks PM me asap
