Thanks for the post on that. I did pull off the bolt earlier and made a happy union of the new axle. It just was not what I had expected to need to do when I went into it. Yet, it was no thing.

I am replacing the passenger side axle on my civic and all went well till I went to remove the disconnected axle. It did not come out thru the gap in the lower end of the strut. CV's on both sides were too big. The next step would have to be removing the strut so to remove the axle. Is this...
