I have a b16a with 00' Si tranny and TypeR clutch...some wiring mods to make the 00' obd2 tranny work with obd1 motor but its working great! :D ... look into the cable or hydro tranny etc?

You stated you removed the Muffler/exhaust? well you might need it for some backpressure! Did you advance your timing on the distributor or is it cam gears? I have a civic 1.6 and race my friends 93 GS..took him buy whole car...I advance my distributor counterclockwise quarter inche and turned...

I've heard about people making these vtec light buy getting parts from radioshack etc...wires led resistors etc. hooked it up etc..supposingly the light comes on exactly when the vtec kicks in....yes this is cool especially at night...I made one and it works...then I took car to shop to check...

Thanks for the reply,well the IM is 1st gen too but the throttle body is not I'm guessing it a current one cuz i has a MAP sensor on top of it I can see it point blank..about the vaccum line, there is one line from the charcoal can that suppose to hook up to IM somewhere, theres like 3 of them 1...

:huh: Dunno about dropping the vtec to 3000? theres a reason why its program to 5500 etc. the motor needs to be revved up to a point where oil pressure is needed to open up valves etc. for vtec to work properly w/o harm to engine, tampering w/the vtec to go off that low is not enough oil...
