I am having all most the same problem i have a 98 dx civic and i bought a JDM D15b and i started the car with my old ecu and it bogs out just as you are saying yours does and i cant figure out why. Also my car was not vtec before and im not sure how to wire the vtec to the ecu on the new motor

i bought a d15b motor and put it in. i am having a problem with how to wire up vtec because my car was non vtec before, so if anyone could help i would greatly appreciate it. also my car starts but when u rev it up it dies out as if it is not getting any fuel. thank you
