Mine was like that too. Just remove the electronic sensor and connect the speedo cable once the motor is installed.

I had the same sputtering problem after my swap. Reversing the O2 sensors (at ecu) took care of it. Good luck

Ok, I just want to make sure I have this wiring part figured out; everything is done except plugging the wiring into the ecu. JDM B16 into 91 Si Si harness was used to connect to B16 plugs. So, all you need to do is connect the pw0 ecu to the 3 Si plugs (that never left the passenger footwell)...

Thanks for the replies. Actually I had it figured out, but I was stuck trying to get the lower ball joint out. I had to ram the pickle fork with the back of an axe to break it loose. It was even worse than the bitch pin part... :P

What wire from the vtec connector do you ground? The connector on my B16 has 2 wires, one for the ECU and one for ground I guess... Also, what is the best way to fit the axles in the car. The engine is already in, so I will have to move/remove the hubs. What is the best way to do this? Thanks,

I think I finally found what the sensor on the back of the block is for, should be the knock sensor. There is none on the Si D16A6. Is there only a knock sensor on vtec equipped motors? I guess that would make sense... Problem is, somebody tried to disconnect it and broke the solder inside...

Mmmm maybe...The thing is it appears to have been tapped in the aluminum, but the is nothing inside the hole, just a tapped hole. Do you mean vtec oil pressure? I thought that was on the head close to the vtec solenoid.

Geez, I still have not found what the sensor at the back of the block is. I has a green connector, just above the oil filter, and the base is taped into the block, under the intake ports. I dont think the old D16 has one. Knock sensor??What the hell?? :huh:

I found some kind of pump on my B16 1st gen, located just above the a/c compressor on the engine. It's driven by a belt just like alt and a/c. Did JDM civics have p/s? Thanks
