    LS/VTEC questions

if your jusdt refering to the crank, you shouldnt need to have it balanced, honda does a good enough job from the factory. you dont have to swap the pistons, but if its not going to be "raced" then why are you building a motor like this? btw not positive, but using a different OBD distributor...

:werd: the GSR head raises compression because it has a smaller combustion chamber, but Ive never heard of anyone putting it on a B16 block. let me know how it goes

    Intake/Exhaust Camshaft.. Huh?

they are different in the fact that one has teeth for the distributor (intake cam) and the other does not. also be sure to google pics on itr cams so you can know how to properly identify them (theres rings around the distributor teeth to let you know exactly what they are from) good luck

google the specs on the rods, its online somewhere, and 800 is alot of fucking hp, if you drop a list of your entinre build (and be specific) Im sure the more experienced members can help you better.... but then again, my personal opinion is the person building this motor should be experienced...

    identifying type-r cams

itr camshafts are awesome in a b16, but you wont get the complete powerband of them unless you get your valvetrain upgraded to redline at 9k. I had 96 jdm cams in my new b16, and it didnt REALLY pull until around 6200-6500, and if you hit your redline at 7900-8200, you wont enjoy them, but thats...

what causes change in fuel pressure?

btw taco, stock fuel pump, and idles at 700, smooth suprisingly, its when Im driving where the problem shows itself by excessive backfire, and (as retarded as it sounds) it sounds like it starts to purr if I hold the throttle/gas pedal steady when cruising.

what causes change in fuel pressure?

in a new swap, JDM b16, what would cause a rise in fuel pressure? its been like this ever since I put the motor in, its stock minus a skunk2 intake manifold off of one of my old ls-vtecs. Ive never encountered this before, so Im not sure if Im over looking something. is there a way to fix this...

    1998 B18C1 OBD2 in a 1990 CRX si

btw a 90 si probably has a cable clutch and the gsr has a hydro tranny, so your gonna need a swap kit for the trans. try posting in the hybrid forum next time, you more likely to find help thats related to your question

    1998 B18C1 OBD2 in a 1990 CRX si

you can put it in a rex, but it would be some work. vtec controlled by a switch is just plain lazy, be prepared to order special shift linkage (more than likely), beat out a small area where the alternator sits in the engine bay, make sure your mounts will line up, and hopefully you find...
