    check he distributor. mine did that before because a wore came off while it was running. cost me 70 bucks to fix. there was a little part in the distributor.

    Lost motion assembly

    ticking/tapping i have a 97 civic ex. D16Y8. it is tapping at idle. nothing bad, no power lost. and when driving i can hear a little pinging. but i was wondering what i could do to fix it. i have drove it for 3000 like this and not seem to get any worse. just annoying. someone please help. thank
