the a2 is 11:1 compression and the build im centering around was off my own motor originally. more Ivtec stages and a turbo means more time and tuning on a dyno.

I have a 2002 civic si, that im looking to turbo charge. I have located a build motor (a3) and the price is 1200. its a used junkyard motor, but it runs and has about half the mileage on it that my current motor has. Is this a fair price or should i keep looking? Just not sure about condition...

As far as I know, the seller would just have to know (and be honest) about if in fact the motor and trans actually came out of a type r. other than that i dont know. The only thing I could guess at is being able to get a compression reading off the motor before you buy it. Doing so might be unlikely
